Just wanted to share Mint.com’s Visual Guide to Deflation, which is quite explanatory.
This website runs on a custom WordPress theme that I made, inspired by the Spring style for Pivot by Andrea Pitschmann.
If you like it, you can download it here: Springer-theme.zip
Springer is a 3-column theme for the popular blogging software Wordpress. It is heavily customized from the default look, allowing a flexible three column design to really work.
The included README.txt file should help explain the theme to you, but feel free to leave feedback and ask questions.
Please go to this post to leave any comments, concerns, or praise!
[...] Please leave any feedback (questions, concerns, praise, whatever) for the Springer Theme and I’ll try to respond to it. [...]

Hey all Paradoxdruid readers! I recently started up a blog on stem cells that I’d love you all to take a look at: http://www.allthingsstemcell.com/
I participated in another Barely literate book review podcast, this time on Nicholson Baker’s “The Fermata”. Give it a listen!
Obama has outlined a strategy for America, in great depth. Read all about Change.gov!
Okay, I’ll admit that it’s entirely possible that I am the last person to learn about this website*, but it’s really addictive.
It’s a game that tests your vocabulary. Each time you get a word’s meaning correct, 20 grains of rice are donated to the UN World Program. So, give Free Rice a whirl. I bet you’ll have fun and you’ll get to help make strides toward ending hunger.
*I heard about it forever ago, I just never actually looked at it.
This band decided they didn’t have money to make a video, so they set up in public places in view of security cameras, then asked to get the footage from the people.
Pretty cool results, though a little creepy to think how much these cameras are around.
A news story about it is here
Thanks to one of my favorites blogs, Zooillogix, I recently got to see toads giving live birth from their back and frogs without lungs. I must say, amphibians are weird! But do those frogs really count as amphibians…? And honestly, those toads gross me out a bit — and that’s hard for biology to do to me!
