Just wanted to share that my first first-author paper is now online! In the journal Stem Cells and Development, here’s my paper on “Roles of Integrins in Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Growth on Matrigel and Vitronectin.”
Wow… the more things change, the more they stay the same, eh?
Paradoxdruid’s Rants is now restored. I made a mistake on the forum– It’s cooler software, but it doesn’t have the heart (or the accessibility) of our good ole’ fashioned blog.
Welcome back, and may the posting resume! (continued)
I went to Berlin a couple weeks ago. I have a lot of pictures, but I think the concentration camp ones deserve their own posting. The rest should come up in a couple weeks after I’m done traveling for my break.
I have a wee little favor to ask of you all. (continued)
Yay, the newspaper published my screed! (continued)
And I’m looking for advice from the peanut gallery (continued)
Important Message: The layout of Paradoxdruid.com may be changing soon, to more of a Forum then a blog.
Please, even if you’re a lurker, go to the trial site paradoxdruid.com/forum/ and make your opinion known, at least on the poll.
The new site would solve these problems/add these features, among other things:
* Visual notification of new replies to posts, for each user
* User customability- a stored signature, avatar picture, personal details, whatever
* More robust database backend
* New options, like Polls and such
* All around more complete solution
As you can tell, I think it would be a good move. But this is our site (it would be pretty boring if only I posted here, eh?), so I really want all of your opinions as well.
And hey, maybe this will provide incentive for some of you lurkers to start posting.

Just read a fascinating (if lengthy) essay on disruptive technology and the future of scientific publishing. Well worth the read!
Just wanted to share Mint.com’s Visual Guide to Deflation, which is quite explanatory.

I participated in another Barely literate book review podcast, this time on Nicholson Baker’s “The Fermata”. Give it a listen!

Okay, I’ll admit that it’s entirely possible that I am the last person to learn about this website*, but it’s really addictive.
