Last weekend, duv and I went to Las Vegas to meet up with some of her family, and had a great time! I just finished posting the pictures we took, and wanted to point out a few of them.

Gilvoro and I were in Vegas last week! We got there on June 30 and left on July 3.
We had a lot of fun, though gambling isn’t our thing. We saw three shows, including Blue Man Group, on Para’s recommendation. It was really good. I didn’t know what to expect when we went to it and I’m still not sure I could describe it. We wanted to go to the Star Trek Experience, but we had some hiccups in trying to get there. The Bodies Exhibition was really awesome, though. As were the baby tigers at the Mirage!

I’m glad you liked the Blue Man Group. On the last trip, we saw Mystere, which just makes you marvel at the perfection of body some athletes can achieve.
No worries. I’m still playing catch-up from our trip! It’s amazing how chores pile up, even in our absence. Oh, well. Back to reality.
I wasn’t sure I’d like Vegas, but I’d definitely go again. There’s a lot more to see there than we were able to do in a single trip - including the Star Trek thing.
Mystere was amazing! I loved that it was funny as well as putting athletic ability on display. I laughed so much during that performance - and I loved the snail!

Okay, I’ll admit that it’s entirely possible that I am the last person to learn about this website*, but it’s really addictive. It’s a game that tests your vocabulary. Each time you get a word’s meaning correct, 20 grains of rice are donated to the UN World Program. So, give Free Rice a whirl. I bet you’ll have fun and you’ll get to help make strides toward ending hunger.
*I heard about it forever ago, I just never actually looked at it.
This band decided they didn’t have money to make a video, so they set up in public places in view of security cameras, then asked to get the footage from the people.
Pretty cool results, though a little creepy to think how much these cameras are around.

Thanks to one of my favorites blogs, Zooillogix, I recently got to see toads giving live birth from their back and frogs without lungs. I must say, amphibians are weird! But do those frogs really count as amphibians…? And honestly, those toads gross me out a bit — and that’s hard for biology to do to me!
