I find this Geography Quiz flash game endlessly addictive, perhaps because I’m so terrible at it– I haven’t even made it to level 7! Give it a try, it’s pretty neat.

I also got to level 7 on my first try, and level 10 on my second. Level 10 is very hard.

Upon trying it at home, as opposed to furtively sneaking it at work, I got to level 8. But level 10? Crazy, man. Good job!

… I swear some of the African countries (especially on the ivory coast) have names that just seem so unreal.

I’ve gotten to level 10 now, but only after trying many, many times…

What still gets me is Southeast Asia and Africa.

Free Rice

Okay, I’ll admit that it’s entirely possible that I am the last person to learn about this website*, but it’s really addictive. 

It’s a game that tests your vocabulary.  Each time you get a word’s meaning correct, 20 grains of rice are donated to the UN World Program.  So, give Free Rice a whirl.  I bet you’ll have fun and you’ll get to help make strides toward ending hunger.

 *I heard about it forever ago, I just never actually looked at it.
