I’d heard a rumor like this less than a month ago from Billy West (voice of Fry and others), but after he reported it on his site, David Cohen and others said that it was untrue . . . so either this a new round of rumors (and maybe it’s true! I hope!), or the last batch isn’t quite dead.

If you visit Can’t Get Enough Futurama, the premiere Futurama website, you’ll see that CNN is, to put it gently, smoking a big fat bowl of crack. Spot on, Shortspeedfreak.

But! There will be four straight-to-DVD Futurama movies made. That’s like 10 new episodes. So all is not lost, after all. :)

For the curious, Andrew’s mostly going to celebrate next week when his parents visit, especially since he’ll probably be done writing his 20-page Candidacy Exam by then. However, tonight we’ll be doing some role-playing (almost as good as Water World?), eating cake and cupcakes with friends, and he’ll be unwrapping some presents. Free Rice

Okay, I’ll admit that it’s entirely possible that I am the last person to learn about this website*, but it’s really addictive. 

It’s a game that tests your vocabulary.  Each time you get a word’s meaning correct, 20 grains of rice are donated to the UN World Program.  So, give Free Rice a whirl.  I bet you’ll have fun and you’ll get to help make strides toward ending hunger.

 *I heard about it forever ago, I just never actually looked at it.
