Just wanted to share that my first first-author paper is now online! In the journal Stem Cells and Development, here’s my paper on “Roles of Integrins in Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Growth on Matrigel and Vitronectin.”
Well, now we know the answer to an age-old question . . . thanks to the Tampon Adequacy Measurement Project.
*crickets chirp*
Alright, someone needs to say something:
(a) This was very funny, but
(b) Some people have FAR too much time on their hands
The only thing I can think to say would be way too much information for you non-married/co-habitating types out there. And even the married/”living-in-sin” would probably rather not hear it
Still… when has that stopped me before…
Anecdotal evidence collected by this researcher agrees with the findings in favor of OB. Though, really, I want to see a Pamprin/Midol comparison. Or a Chocolate/Other kind of Chocolate (is there anything that competes with chocolate?).
Owen - May 2nd, 2006 at 5:10 amoh. my. god. That was freakin’ hilarious! I want to share it with some of the other forums I frequent…but they already think I’m strange enough
Other forums you frequent?!? Do tell! I always need more ways to waste time… err, places to learn. Or something. Anyway, fess up!
Paradoxdruid - May 7th, 2006 at 3:41 pmWell I can’t tell you all of them…where would I be able to spread gossip about you then?
If you’re really bored though, check out this one:

The one stop source for all that is swing dancing in St. Louis! I shouldn’t be too hard to find on there
There have been some great soap operas in the past year or so, but I think everybody is happy with everybody else by now. Sorry.

Just read a fascinating (if lengthy) essay on disruptive technology and the future of scientific publishing. Well worth the read!
Just wanted to share Mint.com’s Visual Guide to Deflation, which is quite explanatory.
Hey all Paradoxdruid readers! I recently started up a blog on stem cells that I’d love you all to take a look at: http://www.allthingsstemcell.com/
I participated in another Barely literate book review podcast, this time on Nicholson Baker’s “The Fermata”. Give it a listen!
Obama has outlined a strategy for America, in great depth. Read all about Change.gov!
Okay, I’ll admit that it’s entirely possible that I am the last person to learn about this website*, but it’s really addictive.
It’s a game that tests your vocabulary. Each time you get a word’s meaning correct, 20 grains of rice are donated to the UN World Program. So, give Free Rice a whirl. I bet you’ll have fun and you’ll get to help make strides toward ending hunger.
*I heard about it forever ago, I just never actually looked at it.
