ummm…Hi!

So I realize I’ve been incommunicado for awhile, but I’m hoping to reconnect here..maybe…if anyone of you remember me…or want to talk to me…or at least won’t throw rotten vegetables at me (unless it’s rotten okra..I think that would make a nice splat).Anyway, I’ve been out here in St. Louis for about a year now and am looking at several more before I can come home to the land of milk and honey.  And while I’ve met some pretty cool people out here, none of them come close to all of you!  They’ve never heard of Invader Zim, Happy Tree Friends, or Munchkin!  And while I’m indoctinating them (slowly..they’re a bit unwilling…not that that’s ever stopped me before), I need to get my fix somewhere!



So…hi!



(Oh, and St. Louis isn’t all bad…they sell booze in the groceries stores!! Every day!)

How could we forget the incomparable Weenie?!?

I’m happy to hear St. Louis isn’t all bad… and what’s weird is that Colorado really is a land of milk and honey (well, bees and cows, at least).

Several more years there? What’s holding you? A contract?

There are bees and cows in St. Louis..and crickets and cicadas and spiders and frogs and oh! I saw a firefly! They’re cool. They have LEDs on their butts! Really!

Okay, I’ll stop stream-of-conscious-ing and answer your question. I applied for and was accepted into the Professional MBA program at Washington University (9th in the nation!) for next spring. So I’ll be here for a few years finishing that up. It’s hard to pass up when Boeing pays FULL RIDE. So while St. Louis isn’t CO and I REALLY miss all of my college friends….I’m trying to be all responsible and grown up and think about the future. Lame, huh?

I’ve got family in Festus (and my wife has family in St. Charles). So, yeah, it’s a nice place out there.

To this day, I’ve never seen a firefly in the flesh… I’m beginning to believe it’s a conspiracy.

Just come visit us during the spring and summer. They’re all over. They live in the trees in the median of the highway.
We catch them in Mason jars and watch them blink, then let them go and get some nookie.

In the Appalachians, there’s a certain species of firefly that blinks in unison.

Yea, living out here really requires an entomology background. Stupid bugs. Course, if you starve the cat, he’ll take care of the problem for you It does destroy his usefulness in shish-kabobs though.
